Donald Eason

Donald T. Eason is an accomplished corporate executive, pastor, and the current President of the Center for Urban Renewal and Education (CURE), a non-profit think tank focused on addressing issues of race and poverty through principles of faith, freedom, and personal responsibility.

During his 25-plus years in business, Donald worked as a Strategic Consulting and Business Development Manager at a top international engineering and consulting firm. He also served as a Senior Consultant for Mutual of America.

He has served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Outreach, Inc., an Indianapolis-based non-profit organization. He has also held leadership positions in a variety of not-for-profit organizations, including Corporate Chairman for the National Forum for Black Public Administrators (Atlanta Chapter), Great Lakes Regional Director for the Douglass Leadership Institute, Special Assistant to President Dr. Larry Arnn of Hillsdale College and currently serves on the board of Salt & Light Global.

As a minister for over 30 years, Donald started his early ministry serving youth and speaking at youth conferences across the country. He has also delivered lectures throughout the U.S. and internationally, including in Panama, South Africa, and Swaziland (now Eswatini). He currently serves as the senior minister and elder of the Metro Church of Christ in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

Donald’s education includes a Master of Public Administration degree from the City University of New York – Baruch College School of Public Affairs, a BA in Business Management from Rochester College in Rochester Hills, Michigan, and a BA in Religious Education from Midwestern Christian Institute in Mt. Clemens, Michigan.

Donald has been married to his wife, Phyllis, for 38 years. They have three adult children, two sons-in-law, and three grandchildren. He enjoys reading, writing, playing golf, playing chess, going on walks with Phyllis, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
